Air 1

Ella and I love to listen to Air 1. It's the best when I hear her praising from the back seat. Her current favorite is "New York to LA" by press play. She will say, "play that song that says 'we all need love, a different kind of love' again". It's so stinkin' cute.

One Day.....

Ella: I'm gonna have so much nicer of a house than you and daddy.

It's gonna have hard wood floors and horses.

It's gonna have a fancy kitchen and we're gonna have baby rabbits too.

If I have a baby girl, guess what I'm gonna name her? Ashley! Or maybe Hillary.

If I have a boy I'm gonna name him nothing...because I'm having all girls.

Frootie!: don't you think it'd be weird to have a baby named Hillary?

Ella: No. I like that name. Will you take pictures at my wedding?

Frootie!: Yes! Of course!

Ella: and come to the hospital when I have babies?

Frootie!: yes! Who are you having these babies with? Who are you marrying?

Ella: I don't know....Luke I guess.

Frootie!: I think you'll have to fight Shelby for him. I think she wants to marry him.

Ella: oh. Well I'm gonna have a nice house with whoever I marry. I'm gonna have a pool with a fountain and a hot tub. And cheetas.

Frootie!: well what are you gonna do for a job to have all this nice stuff?

Ella: Just be rich.

4th day of School

Today I drove Ella to school. I had to work at 8:30a -- I was excited for our trip. We sang along to Air1 and talked about what she might learn today.

Once we got there she decided she wanted to walk in alone so I pulled up to the door and she hopped out. I had the window rolled down to waive bye and she turned and said, "Um, Hilwe, tell Nora I love her and everything! Kiss Kiss!"

Practicing the Lottery

Yesterday Ella and I were on the way to Indy to surprise Mama Norma for her birthday and we drove past a gorgeous house on Yarnallton Rd. It's my favorite house. For a while last year it was up for sale.

I said to Ella: See that beautiful house? When Daddy and I win the lottery we are going to buy it.
Ella: Ok!
me: We'll put in a big pool out back and it will be awesome.
Ella: Yeah it will. My own pool!
Me: You know the only problem with waiting to win the lottery?
Ella: What?
Me: You have to play the lottery to win.
Ella: Wellllll, maybe you could start practicing.
